Larkwood · A floor-plan reservations system for a restaurant group
Built a reservations and floor-management system for a nine-location restaurant group, replacing a paper book and three disconnected booking widgets with one live floor plan.
01/ The challenge
Each of Larkwood's nine locations ran its own booking process: a paper book, a generic widget, or a shared spreadsheet. Managers had no visibility into cross-location capacity, and double-bookings during peak service were a weekly occurrence.
02/ The approach
We built a live, drag-and-drop floor plan per location, synced reservations across a shared booking API, and gave managers a single view across all nine sites. Waitlist and table-turn timing feed back into a simple forecast for the host stand.
03/ The outcome
- Locations unified
- 9
- Double-bookings since launch
- 0
- Build to rollout
- 8 wks
Double-bookings dropped to effectively zero across all nine locations. Average table-turn time is now tracked automatically, and group-wide capacity is visible from one screen for the first time.
“Nine locations, one floor plan, zero double-bookings since we flipped the switch. Our host stands finally all see the same thing.”
